I’m eating this as I type and OH MY GOD this is so good 😍 I could happily eat this instead of Coco Pops for the rest of my life. And it’s healthy & low in sugar 💪
I decided to have this this morning because I’m feeling sore from the gym last night. I had a high protein refuel meal after the gym but forgot to have my protein shake. This porridge is great to help repair your muscles.
First I make my almond milk. I made this using Ground Almonds from Lidl, which are really cheap. I think around €2.
Add 1/2 cup of the almonds to a blender. I use my nutribullet which is super handy.
Put on a medium heat and use a wooden spoon to stir. Cook for about 10 minutes until the oats are cooked and it looks creamy 😍
Take off the heat and leave for 2/3 minutes. It should be piping hot when you take it off the hob.
Now add some chocolate protein powder. I like to use a vegan one so that I’m getting my protein from natural sources. I use this My Protein one and it tastes yum:
Pour into a bowl. Chop up three blackberries and chop up a square of 85% dark chocolate. I use the Lindt one. Sprinkle both on top of your porridge and voila!
