My trip to Fuerteventura

I’ve just returned from 10 days away in Fuerteventura. It’s back to reality now – 26 degrees to 2 degrees was an icy shock to the system 🙈

We stayed in Castillo Mar in Caleta de
Fuste & the location was perfect. We were a minute’s walk from the town where all the hotels, bars and restaurants were situated.

This was one of the most relaxed places I’d ever visited. Food and drink were so cheap -€2 for a pint, €3 for a very generous vodka and mixer, €5 for a full Irish breakfast with drinks.
Restaurants I’d recommend in Caleta de Fuste are:

🍴15
🍴Nestors
🍴Trafalgar for a full breakfast
🍴The Taj for Indian food
🍴Jinxing for Chinese food
🍴El Patio
Bars I’d recommend are:

🍺The Step Inn Irish bar
🍺Aloha Gardens for a cool cocktail bar
🍺Bar 4 for karaoke and late night bar
🍺The Crazy Goat
🍺Galera Beach Bar, Correlejo

Things you have to do when you go here:

Jet skiing in Caleta harbour – €55 per jet ski and don’t forget your driving licence

Rent electric scooters – approx €15 for 2 hours and you can go along the coast road from Caleta to Nuevo Horizonte . Bring some monkey nuts to feed the chipmunks along the way 😍

Go shopping in Las Rotondas in Puerto del Rosario. You can get a bus here from Caleta which takes about 20 mins. The shopping was cheap and the shops included H&M, Zara, Blanco, Bershka, New Yorker & loads more.

Take a day trip to the stunning 5 star Atlantis Bahia Real hotel in Correlejo and relax for the day in Coco Beach. The scenery is breath taking. You can rent these sunbeds for 4 hours and order cocktails for the day while relaxing and looking out onto the sea. Heaven…😍☀️

We played Crazy Golf at the Barcelo hotel which was so much fun and then went bowling at the local shopping centre, Atlantico. If you’re looking for something fun to do with a few people this is a good option.

One of the highlights of the trip was a day trip to Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. We went to a water park here although it was quite small and I wouldn’t recommend it. We still had a good laugh here though and then went to a delicious tapas restaurant called Bodegon in Playa Blanca. The boat trip was the best part of the day and it took about 45 mins each way.

This is the ideal place for a couples holiday.

Feel free to ask me anything about my trip 👌
