May’s Nutribullet Of The Month!

I promised a new Nutribullet recipe each month. I’m obsessed with my Nutribullet and always trying new recipes. If you don’t have one it’s a brilliant investment and retails at approximately €120. I usually make nutriblasts that contain 50% greens, 50% fruit & top with nuts or seeds, however this recipe is just a simple fruity one to start off! It will take a while to get used to the taste of greens in your smoothies so don’t try too much too soon. 

Here’s how to make May’s Berry Blast Smoothie: 
Handful blueberries 
Handful raspberries 
Handful strawberries 
2 or 3 blackberries
1 banana 
2 tbsp natural yoghurt 
1 tsp honey 
Fresh orange juice to the max line 
Blend it all together. Voila! 

I usually buy a big tub of natural yoghurt in Lidl which is less than €2 and great value if you are using it in smoothies all the time. I also buy a big bag of frozen berries in Lidl usually for about €3, which is so handy as it makes the smoothie cold and the fruit lasts a lot longer in the freezer.
The fruit in these smoothies provide many benefits. Blueberries contain antioxidants and are also high in Vitamin C. Bananas provide potassium for a healthy heart and B vitamins for energy and healthy functioning of the body. Natural yoghurt provides probiotics which are important for good bacteria in your body.
